Here's some alkalising smoothie and juice recipes for you to try as part of the 6 week Health & Weight Loss Challenge, the 3 Day Alkalising Smoothie Detox or as a daily health supplement.
Please change ingredients to suit your taste buds, however it's important to follow the main rules -
*No added sugar and keep fruits to a minimum.
* All smoothies must contain the 3 main food groups( protein, fibre and fat)
If you are following the 6 week challenge the rule is to swap one meal with a smoothie or juice.
The 3 day alkalising smoothie detox is simply replacing all your daily meals with a smoothie.
If you need to chew, opt for a plain salad, consisting of green leaves, cucumber, grated beetroot, cabbage tomato, once a day.
Make sure you are drinking a minimum of 2 litres of water per day and ideally start the day with the juice of 1/2 a lemon in warm water, to cleanse the body and kick start the metabolism. Increase the effect by adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger.

3 organic carrots
1 organic apple
1/4 organic lemon, including skin
Pop into juicer for the most vibrant
flavour burst!

coconut water
green apple
mint leaves
lime

1 carrot
Half a small sweet potato
1 apple
Half a cup of coconut cream
Top up with coconut or plain water and blitz in the nutribullet.
Perfect one for sitting in the garden.
