What’s the deal with menopausal skin!

Updated: Dec 13, 2023

Within the first 5 years of peri menopause through to actual menopause, a woman’s skin loses up to 30% of its collagen, resulting in sagging and loss of that youthful glow.

Add to this, hormonal imbalance and you’ve also  got a change to the condition of the skin.  Some women experience dry skin, leading to conditions like rosacea, eczema and pigmentation, while others develop stubborn, itchy acne.

They say beauty is only skin deep, but to keep skin glowing, you need to nourish from within and I can’t emphasis the importance of good hydration, taking care of gut health and consuming good quality omega 3&6 fatty acids in the right balance!

As far as skincare is concerned, keep it simple. Don’t overwhelm the skin with an array of different products.

Cleansing is SO important. Do this twice a day and follow with either an oil blend or moisturiser.

If pigmentation is a concern, choose a serum containing AHA’s, aloe Vera and vitamin C.

If you have a skin concern, why not drop me a message and we can chat about which SKINVELOP package is right for YOU.
